5 Fears that Prevent You from Starting Something New

The new year is here, many people make new resolutions, many people start new things. New Year always means the beginning of something new.

But do people take it all the way through and finish these new things? Well, certainly not everyone.

Because there are some people who have certain fears. We’ll take a look at a few of them now.

5 Fears that Prevent You

What is this fear thing that doesn’t let you do what you want?

Fear is a desire to escape, worry, alarm. An uncontrollable impulse due to an imagined (or real) external threat, without perceiving the real facts. Withdrawal from the environment; the feeling of “I’m not dangerous” and “I want to run away from here”.

This is an emotion that is difficult to overcome and requires a lot of effort, willpower and perseverance. Of course, it also depends on the magnitude of the fear, since a smaller fear is easier to overcome or overcome than a larger one.

Now let’s see the 5 fears that hold you back from starting something new that holds the potential for something much better. Whether it’s a new job, a new source of income or even a new place of residence.

Number 1: I have no money right now

The twist is that you’re constantly working to have more money. You’re always looking for ways to make more money, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this article right now.

I understand if you don’t want to spend unnecessary money. This is a very good habit, however, sometimes we tend to say no to things that would give us much more.

If you don’t learn or are not willing to improve, invest in yourself, then in 10 years you will still be where you are today.

Number 2: I don’t have time to study now

Every new start begins with learning. Whether you like it or not. In a new workplace, you have to learn your new role. In a new residence, you have to learn what is where, what means of transport you can use to get there, etc.

You should at least read up on a new investment to see if it’s worth investing. It is not by chance that they say that you learn until you die.

There is a problem with understanding, because when people hear the word ‘learning’, they immediately think of learning at school. However, learning is much more than that and is often fun and enjoyable.

This is what learning means: you carefully observe, examine, examine and analyze, as well as study and understand a phenomenon, situation, and condition.

You acquire knowledge of working solutions from others and acquire the ability to apply them in practice, with which you can achieve desired goals.

Based on your existing knowledge and experience, you understand and applies new data and connections. So you can see that this is not a bad thing, in fact, we do it almost every day, we just often don’t even notice it.

Number 3: I hesitate, I’ll think about it…

If you are already thinking, but are still unsure, that is a good sign. It means that you want something more, you want something different, because you are not satisfied with your current situation. You want to change it.

You know best what you need and what you want. But it is worth asking the question: What can I lose in one and the other case? Or just what you can win.

For example, you end procrastination, switch to a healthier lifestyle, decide to take a leap in your career. These are priceless in terms of money.

Number 4: I can’t do it anyway

Although few people say this consciously, we all have such a thought subconsciously. We think that we have a “realistic” view of our own abilities and place in life. It is what it is, and this is probably what we are capable of.

But believe me, this is very often just an illusion, and sometimes it only takes a single spark, a single event, an idea, or an encouraging word to change this picture in us.

I had the same idea in my head about what I was capable of. Then something suddenly clicked in me at an event, I believed that I was capable of more, and I didn’t stop until I created a life that matched the new image.

Don’t say flatly that you don’t know more. Leave a little chance, a little gap open, what if…

Number 5: I have already learned a lot

Super. Then you know for sure that it’s not what you know that matters, but what you do with it. And I think you can also agree that there is always something to learn.

The world is constantly changing, there is always something new. Or you just need to repeat the old one to give it new momentum, new ideas, new motivation.

You probably also have a favorite book or audio or quote that you read again and again just to recharge yourself spiritually.

I wish you to overcome your fears and take the plunge into something new. Trust me it's worth it. Good luck with it.
